So what should your DJ do for your event that is one of the most important aspects of an event? TIME LINE PREPARATION. Your event time line is something most DJ's should do, but don't always do. With Chattanooga Entertainment Group there are no worries with how your event will flow and when things happen, because CEG will prepare a time guideline for you AND have someone separate from the DJ that will ensure your event details will take place when they should happen. In most cases everything revolves around your music during an event. Some event holders may have an event planner that handles the details, and that is fine also, we have worked with some of the best. To ensure your event flows smoothly with an event planner and the DJ, be sure your event planner is in total communication with your DJ. Timelines can totally change from the beginning of planning to the end of the final draft, and the key to a successful event with an event planner and a DJ is communication. DJ's handle a lot of the timeline details with event holders combining song choices with events special moments. Music choices vary and the music is what sets your event from beginning to end..... Do I need an event planner for my event?
The answer is NO you do not. For most events around 250 guests and under, your DJ should be all you need when it comes to coordinating and executing your timeline of events. Chattanooga Entertainment Group always work in a team of two, and in some
instances three when needed. The DJ stays with the equipment, and the Emcee announces, coordinates, and executes all time lined details within your event. If there is a planner involved, as described before, it is usually in their job description, unless they let us know otherwise.

We can not stress enough how important time-lines are to us, and do understand that in some cases timeline lists are not always met or followed as planned before an event. (Ex. acts of nature). Just remember that setting a timeline is something created for a guideline for everyone to help your event run smoothly, and to assist in that everything gets done in the time frame you have for your venue rental.

Your music list
From our experience in music lists that are created from the beginning, no event is the same. Everyone has different tastes in genres that sets the mood that the event holder is seeking. We can give recommendations off of what genres you are requesting, but require all of our clients to sign off on our finalized playlist for your event to ensure your satisfaction of what is to be played.

Dance Music: The younger Generation:
As many of us know, dance music hits of today include such artists as Akon, Lady gaga, PittBull, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, just to name a small few. We also know that today’s popular hits carry an inner meaning, even radio edits, that may be very inappropriate for an event such as a wedding, or any other event involving an older and Under 21 crowd. We need to keep this in mind when choosing dance music for your event, so that we do not run off, and especially offend your guests. We have now come to the conclusion that it is best for our event holders to choose the dance songs themselves, and we will choose the songs off their list at our discretion for our finalized list that our event holders are to sign off on for approval before an event is held.

choosing. (Usually for the bridal party and friends). This Package allows them to enjoy the music they like without offending their guests that may be of an older or under 21 of age range. We recommend that this be by verbal invitation only, and not be included in the actual event program. This add on only applies to the same location where event is to initially be held.
